New Zealand is set to become a battleground for cricket supremacy as they prepare to host Australia, England, South Africa, and the West Indies during the 2025-26 home summer. The NZC unveiled a schedule promising thrilling contests across multiple formats. The New Zealand Women's team will also engage in exciting white-ball series against South Africa and Zimbabwe.
The action begins on October 1 with a three-match T20I series against Australia. Following this, England will arrive for a series of three T20Is, starting October 18, and three ODIs, commencing October 26.
The West Indies will then embark on a comprehensive tour, featuring a five-match T20I series starting November 5, followed by three ODIs from November 16, and three Tests, with the first Test starting December 6.
The White Ferns also have a busy schedule. The team will play 14 white-ball games after participating in the ODI World Cup 2025 in India and Sri Lanka in October.
Zimbabwe will tour New Zealand for the first time, playing a three-match T20I series beginning February 25, followed by a three-match ODI series that is part of the ICC Women's Championship 2025-29, starting March 5.
A five-match T20I series against South Africa will occur alongside the men's matches, scheduled as double-headers from March 15 to 25. Before playing three T20Is against the Proteas Women between March 29 and April 4.
NZC Chief Executive Scott Weenink expressed his excitement about the schedule: "It's great to welcome such a diverse range of opponents for both the Blackcaps and White Ferns, and especially pleasing for NZC to host the first-ever series between Zimbabwe and New Zealand women." He also highlighted the unique opportunity for fans to watch top-tier male and female cricketers in the double-headers against South Africa.
Kyle Jamieson said: "The calibre of opposition means we'll be constantly tested for the duration of the season and that's what you want as a cricketer. It's great to have another three-Test series at home and I'm sure the fans will get in behind the Test team as they have in seasons gone by. It's always special to play in front of a home crowd and we're hoping Kiwis will get out in force to support us once again this summer."
